A Brief Introduction to Proceedings of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering

In the year of 1964, Proceedings of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (is named Proceedings of the CSEE for short) was started its publication. It is a nation-level journal and is authoritatively academic journal in the sphere of electrical engineering, being distributed home and abroad. The journal is sponsored by the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (society established in 1934) and undertaken by China Electric Power Research Institute for edit and publication. Proceedings of the CSEE mainly reports the new development in theoretics, method, technique and new achievements in the area of power system and automation, power generation and power engineering, electric machinery& theoretical electrotechonlogy, high voltage engineering and power transmission and distribution, communication and electricity market. Its main readers are including researchers and engineers in the fields of power system and electrical equipment manufacture as well as the teachers and students in universities and colleges. In the year of 2007, Proceedings of the CSEE turned from semimonthly to three issues a month with circulation of 3500, is classified into three separate issues as power systems, power generation and electric machinery& electrotechonlogy, and is published on 5^th, 15^th and 25^th every month. The editorial committee of Proceedings of the CSEE is composed of 63 distinguished professors, including 17 academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, 6 from overseas with an academician of the UK Royal Academy of Engineering. At present, Mr. Zheng Jianchao, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, holds the office of the editor in chief.

   Proceedings of the CSEE is the core journal of principal retrieval systems such as Engineering Index (EI), Scientific Abstracts (SA) and Abstract Journal (AJ) as well as other related databases, thus Proceedings of the CSEE is an influential journal home and abroad. Proceedings of the CSEE is being awarded within top 100 outstanding Academic Journals of China for six years, as well as the top one in domestic periodical journals in power engineering and electric power engineering. According to the Chinese S&T Journal Citation Reports 2007, Proceedings of the CSEE is in the first place for the Total Cites and in the fourth place for the Journal Impact Factor among the domestic 6000 technological Journals.

1999     PCSEE published from bimonthly to monthly.
2001-now    PCSEE was awarded good for “social benefit and economic benefit ” in the domestic journals
2002-2007   PCSEE was awarded 100 outstanding Academic Journals of China
2005        PCSEE published from monthly to semimonthly, and was awarded the Third 100 key Journals of China
2006        The newer editorial committee established
2006-2007   PCSEE was award as China Association for Science and Technology elite journal
2007        PCSEE published from semimonthly to three times a month.
